SGOA's livelihood programmes support economic empowerment and the socioeconomic integration of disabled people and other vulnerable groups in Afghanistan.
We work with UNDP, UN Women, and local partners to create income opportunities and break the cycle of poverty.
Overview
Unemployment, lack of skills, and limited access to markets affect millions of people in Afghanistan, especially women, disabled individuals, returnees, and IDPs. SGOA focuses on inclusion—ensuring vulnerable groups can access opportunities that improve their quality of life and align with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Together with partners, we enhance livelihoods, promote socio-economic inclusion, and support communities to build resilience across Kandahar, Kabul, Faryab, Bamyan, Takhar, Baghlan, and Balkh.
