Literacy Program Reaches 2,000 Children in Kandahar
Community-based literacy centers established by SGOA are promoting inclusive education for children in Kandahar. The program supports both formal schooling and alternative learning pathways for out-of-school children.
SGOA works with local communities to set up learning spaces where children can develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills. These centers serve as bridges to formal education and provide a safe environment for learning.
With support from donors and partners, SGOA has expanded the program to reach 2,000 children across multiple districts in Kandahar. Trained facilitators use age-appropriate methods to engage children and track their progress.
