Health

SGOA works in health and nutrition to improve the well-being of vulnerable populations in Afghanistan, including disabled people, returnees, IDPs, and affected communities.

We are registered with the Ministry of Public Health and partner with UNDP, UN Women, and others to deliver health services in remote and underserved areas.

Overview

Access to primary health care, nutrition, and maternal and child health services remains limited in many provinces. Inadequate facilities, distance, and social barriers prevent vulnerable groups from receiving the care they need. SGOA aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and supports the Ministry of Public Health's priorities in areas where access to services is limited.

Our health and nutrition work contributes to reduced mortality, better growth outcomes, and improved quality of life for the beneficiaries we serve across Kandahar, Kabul, Faryab, Bamyan, Takhar, Baghlan, and Balkh.
